Armour and Weapon Progression Designs on Nexus Mods

Another thread may have been done about this previously, but I couldn't find it on this forum. If one does exist, I apologize for creating a new one.

So, I just took a look at the data-mined armors and weapons over on nexus mods:

Supposedly, according to the mod that posted it, these are armors that are currently embedded in game, just not activated for early access.

If this is true, then I pray the armor and weapon design team gets to do another pass on these items before full release. Because right now, I'm not a big fan of the designs. I saw nothing that looked "bad-ass" or even basic utilitarian.

You know sometimes, basic armor like chain mail, scale mail, half plate, and others is the coolest thing of all. It doesn't need to be colorful or fancy. More metal - Less cloth on some of the medium and heavy armors please.

Why all the cloth included behind the waist belts?
Why all the weird sleeve attachments on most of the armor models?
Why all the awful skirting on the lower half of the torso? (this one really pushes my buttons)
Why the dangle bangles hanging from some of them?
Why the huge differences between the male and female models?
Why no magic user variations? Because right now, the robes look like something folks wore to bed in the 1800's.

If Larian chooses not to change them, then my only hope is for some awesome mods from the modding community. I may have to learn to mod myself just so I can "fix" some of these designs so I'm not offended to wear them.

Transmog like in WoW? I just read about it, never actually played it. I did use the equipment replacement thing Vanguard Saga of Heroes used. But at least there were sets of armor I actually liked that I could set on my toon. Not sure I've found any armor in BG3 that really gets me excited (maybe half-plate).

Would also like to see some of the old magic items from the original games implemented for 5e rules perhaps. Balduran's equipment for instance. Maybe make it a side quest to obtain the full set.
