Remove effects that cause vulnerability
In D&D tabletop there exist only two spells that give vulnerability to damage. One is Hallow, which has a casting time of 24 hours and the other is Contagion, which requires a successful melee spell attack and the target to fail three separate constitution saving throws. This is for good reason, vulnerability gives a massive potential increase in damage. Having common effects like wet giving vulnerability or homebrew spells like the one the mask of regret uses that gives vulnerability on command is an obscene imbalance.

As sick as I am of hearing people compare this game to D:OS2 I have to make this distinction. In D:OS2 the resistances usually scaled sensibly, being wet was only a 20% damage boost to air damage, whereas here it's a 100% boost! The 5e combat system is not designed for trading hits, especially at early levels when characters generally only have one action they can do each round.

Please, get rid of all these vulnerability effects. The resistance effects aren't nearly as egregious but on command vulnerability effects give way too overwhelming an advantage to the side that can use it.

What gives you the ability to give vulnerability to creatures in BG3? I've haven't seen one.

I'm not sure what you are talking about OP? I have never seen the status effect vulnerable on my characters

I have no idea what OP is talking about.

Interplanetaryninjaassassin, would you mind giving us an example of a spell that actually applies vulnerability in-game?

The wet effect from standing in water gives vulnerability to both cold and lightning damage, and in the hag's lair there is an enemy called the mask of regret with an ability that causes vulnerability to psychic damage, alongside a constant psychic damage DoT.
