Make your companions react somehow. Shadowheart can extend her neck to strangle him or something...
So I'm not surprised - neither here nor there. They just don't care about the PC.
Speak for yourself! They don't care about you cause you're a grumpy bear.
They adore me!
@OP Yup. Though I don't know if I'd react if someone had a knife to my friends throat other than to say 'Lets all be calm. And put the knife down!' But even that maybe... like have them look around as if thinking what to do or something? Could be nice.
So.. your adoring companions fling to rescue you when they see your breathless body after Astarion had his way with it? Or come to think of it - on any other similar occasion?
As for the grumpy bear - well, all my PC does is - helping people around - you know, trying to make it so that children don't cry, elders don't die, standing by words with actions (unlike, say, Wyll) - you know, the good old hero work. And so here goes the hatred from the party. But such is life.

But anyway, joking aside, lots of people dislike Astarions intro. So it would be good if Larian made some changes to it. If I remember correctly there’s no interaction at all so… good suggestion.
Maybe they are still working on animation timeline tool or animation libraries or whatever and it will all get a second or third pass later, no way to know.
Or they could be using code generated dialogue scenes and they still need a human hand-tune to fix them.... Probably just taking their time, the dialogue scenes system is a huge step up from Txt window dialogues so.
i do agree we could do with party interactive dialogues systems. Cos right now still too often you see companions just stand in the background acting like trees or something.
For sure, they still have a lot going on. But feedback is here for that - giving feedback on what we think is not okay, and maybe even come up with suggestions! If I had to give a suggestion it would be to have the PC's companion warn them, or at least that they show up in the dialogue. Because as of now it's as if they did not exist or watched Astarion do whatever with you from across the beach XD
Unfortunately that's all too common in this game genre, sometimes it's just not feasible. In major story plots it is, but for every minor story plot in a game with 5+ possible companions and combinations? It's not the priority. But still, idk if I'm just used to it but so far I haven't been too disappointed about this specifically.
Lol it's true they don't care about you at first, but later on at least some of my companions like my PC, including Astarion himself XD In their defence, Astarion does act like he had nothing to do with it if I'm not mistaken (they were asleep so it's not like they saw what happened), so it could have been just some sneaky vampire in the woods and totally not the rogue elf with red eyes.
There was a time I did get pissed off that I didn't even get the option to rage at Astarion after having life sucked out of me in some previous patch. Thankfully they added that in the next patch after my demise XD
