Why no epilogue for the dark ending?
When you take control of the brain do you not also deserve an epilogue? Why does the game assume you'll do only the "good" ending?

Do you think Withers is going to throw you a party for doing the exact thing he was trying to prevent? Do you think the companions you've just killed or mind controlled are going to have any catching up to do with you? You've just achieved not just the evil ending, but the bad ending. That is your epilogue.

It’s not assuming anything. You were awful during the story so there’s no reward. It would be a very lonely party anyways.

They'll probably add one at some point. Larian adds new scenes and added extras through various patches. The game, technically, wasn't complete when it was launched (Thanks publishers).

Possible? Yes. Probable? No. It's not "missing". As I said, you doomed the world. That's your epilogue.

If we get one it'll be Durge talking alone, or having a conversation with the Netherbrain haha.

Don't we have one like that already, where you can piss yourself in gibbering excitement?

I don't think any of us expect a party for the evil ending but more of a glimpse of the aftermath, say, about 6 months or a year later. Imagine if they had gone the extra mile to have something similar to "The Darkspawn Chronicles" of Dragon Age Origins, where you get to destroy Baldur's Gate as Dark Urge (or I guess evil Tav, though some Tavs would likely want to rule rather than destroy) once you've finished the main story.

As it is now, Dark Urge's version of the evil ending was extremely disappointing since it was just 1 word difference between regular evil and Bhaal ending. I assume they wanted to leave it up to your imagination but it still felt very lackluster in comparison to all the other endings.

Imagine missing the point of the game so bad you actually think the evil ending gets the metaphorical "pizza party" for good work

Yeah, that's if you take Bhaal's gifts and don't tell him to eff off but still decide not to dominate the Netherbrain. Bhaal deems you a failure and the curse of his blood drives you into a complete rabid animal mode.

Can't imagine it would be much different from the ending cinematic we have. You atop the brain going from world to world spreading the new Illithid empire, the only thing even remotely capable of stopping you firmly under your control.

What epilogue could there be? Withers is no longer helping you and your former friends are brainwashed thralls, not great at parties.

There is no horror that they could show that would appease most people. Once we see a horror, it loses a lot of its horror. It's best to leave it to the imagination. The mind can create things more awful than anything that can be shown to us.

For those without imagination, you're just SoL.

An epilogue doesnt have to be a party. It can be a cutscene.
