So MUCH monk gear why?
Why is there such an unreal amount of gear that is for monks in this game from what I read online when you shapeshift as a druid your attacks do not count as unarmed. This means you have crazy amounts of gear that is made for 1 class in the game.

As for other classes I rarely see gear that has benefits for them solely.

It's probably because monks are locked out of most gear, so they needed gear for just them to compensate. Most gear turns most of their class buffs off. It sticks out because of that.

Pretty much this. The way monks work almost all of the gear available that isn't specifically made for Monks wouldn't actually benefit a Monk in any real way.

Unarmored stuff, as well as quarterstaves are typically caster oriented. And Most weapons they are proficient with end up being better used on something else entirely.

I'd argue the real issue is how little unarmored gear effects anything that isn't a caster, but then who else is really wearing any of that? A Barbarian, sure, but they have access to medium armor and shields, which is almost better than any unarmored gear you'd find for a Monk or Barb for the first 2 acts anyway.
