Too Much Racism in this Game.

Why do the Tieflings and just about every other race that isn't Githyanki instantly hate them? First Tiefling group I meet wish to call LAe'zel a derogatory term as "toad" and besmirch their race as "ugly", Lae'zel is a babe, a complete 10/10, yet they still wish to call her ugly due to her nose and skin, this is beyond racism and if those tiefling could have their way, they would commit genocide on the Githyanki. They are worse than Nazi's. I should receive compensation for this. This is 21'st century we should no longer see racism in game I should sue them for this.

Because the Githyanki are space fascists. Wait til you play a more familiar bad guy race though, like the Drow. The Gith have it easy in comparison.

Can't have anything to do with the fact that the Githyanki tend to murder everything that isn't Githyanki. Their reputation is NOT unwarranted. Hell, they murdered a bunch of Flaming Fist for doing their job after they jumped and murdered some random tiefling who they happened to cross paths with. Zorru ( and even their victim if you Speak With the Dead ) tells you they basically came out of nowhere and ran his friend through. For literally no reason. This is typical behavior for them.

So, yeah. People hate the Githyanki. Imagine that.

I'd argue that there is NOT ENOUGH racism in the game, especially with regards to playing a Drow. NPCs just gloss over the fact that they've encountered one of the most vilified, and rarely seen races above ground.

Githyanki were an evil race of humans that were enslaved by the mind flayers for centuries but a group of them escaped and are now lead by an arch-lich. Ironically they now think of other races as only being suitable as being slaves and themselves as being superior.

There's enmity between several races in D&D from the lore and BG3 is just (mostly) holding true to the existing lore. The different races usually have a faction or group they dislike and is part of their motivations and roles they play in a role-playing game.

Don't blame BG3, just don't play D&D at all if you have trigger issues with navigating the complexities of racial relations. The different races mirror the world of today in many aspects (but somehow ignore skin color and gender roles for woke reasons), so it's not unlike real life.

That's one instance where the game actually reacts, but those are few and far between. Most of the time, NPCs act like nothing's out of the ordinary. I would've expected way more hostility and distrust from the world, in addition to drawbacks from being exposed to daylight.

There should be more. The githyanki are dimensional hopping Vikings who pillage, kill and destroy anyone who isn’t a fellow githyanki through multiple planes of existence.

The drow are the biggest slaving empire in all of Toril and their cruelty is such that everyone is scared of them to the point the goblin torturer can’t stomach being in the same room as a drow character who says he or she will take over.

Tieflings are descended from demons or devils and were just driven out of a city that was dragged to Avernus and the whole city was effectively enslaved by devils for the Blood War so when the city came back to Faerun the tieflings were not welcome as they were a living reminder of the Hells.

There should be more racism.
