cursor not visible in startup/main menu/game play HELP
My fellow gamers, I require your assistance.
So this just started being an issue this morning (3/14) and I'm driving myself crazy trying to fix it. Like the title says, I cannot see my cursor at all when playing the game. As soon as the window pops up, the cursor is just gone. This continues while in the main menu and during game play. I've tried all the suggested solutions that I've seen online (disable "hide cursor while typing"/start the game in vulcan instead of dx11/start the game in windowed mode/uninstall and reinstall the game/update mouse drivers/update the operating system/disabling and uninstalling my mods). Nothing has worked so far. The only way I can get any sort of visible cursor is if I have the main hand attack action always selected. Which is not how I want to play the game until this issue gets patched or fixes itself. I've even checked to see if this was happening with other games, and my other games are working normally. I even tried hooking my joycons up to my computer to see if I could play that way but that was its own separate disaster.
I submitted a bug report just in case but if anyone has run into this issue ONLY on the most recent version of the game (v4.1.1.4900808) and has been able to fix it, please tell me how you managed it because I'm just about ready to rip my hair out. I'm on a windows 11 PC that was newly updated today.

Edit: After several failed attempts to get out of Windows 11 Insider, I'm reverting back to Windows 10. Lowkey praying that the sacrifice of all my files will be enough for the Tech Gods to grant mercy on me. If it works, I'll let yall know. If not, then I'm simply gonna yeet myself beyond the Black Wall and vibe out as an engram for the rest of eternity in cyberspace. Good luck to anyone dealing with this headache.

Edit: Finished downgrading to Windows 10 last night. I finally have my cursor back!!!

I am in the same boat. I have a group that I play with on a weekly basis, and everything worked fine the last time we played. Tonight, no cursor at all. I have a ton of hours in this game, and tonight I just couldn't play. Technically, I could have, but it would have been constant guesswork of where I was clicking.

I have tried all of the suggestions from past problems as well:
- Vulcan / DirectX swap
- Swap between fullscreen, windows, borderless
- Uninstalled, tracked all associated directories on all drives and purged them, reinstalled.
- Checked for video driver updates
- Played with all of the mouse settings in windows
- Turned on and off various possible overlays (Steam, Discord, Nvidia, XBox)
- Connected an XBox controller (that works), then swap back to kbm, but still no cursor.

Nothing seems to work.

Same EXACT issue as described by hj and Kilteer.

Also tried most methods myself from Kilteer's list (didn't try xbox controller, tried and failed lol), anywhere ranging from disabling fps/mem counters like RivaTuner to just restarting my pc.

It drove me mad all afternoon and I feel like karate kicking someone. Pls help

Sorry for the double post, but are both of you perhaps using W11 preview/insider? I also got an update so just wondering if that may have something to do with it. I also noticed before re-installing the latest Nvidia driver that the W11 insider update included a preview version of some kind for the gfx card. Can't recall the exact driver version #, but it was a lot "higher" than the current one on their site.

The first thing worth doing in such a situation is

First: clear the cache

Second: check if the issue persists in windowed mode

Considering you used mods before keep in mind that a lot of mods users have shown in countless forums posts in the past that they are under common misconceptions when it comes to mods removal.

It is very important that mods user follow the detailed instructions of the mods authors in regards of installation and deinstallation of mods to ensure compatibility and functionality of the game and mods. Should an issue occur follow their instructions and in doubt consult the mods authors for mods related issues.

You can only be certain that an issue is not mods related if you confirmed it yourself by removing your mods completely and thoroughly.

I have the same problem. I have played the game for nearly two months. Until yesterday, everything was fine, but I could not see my cursor this morning when I opened the game.

I think the issue is caused by W11 insider. I upgrade the Windows 11 Insider Preview 26080.1 too.

If you are a W11 Insider, roll it back. That's causing the issue

For reference, I have the same game version and dont have Windows 11 on my PC and my cursor works without issue, so def seems like W11 related
HGC1113 Mar 15, 2024 @ 7:27am
The issue is solved. It is the problem of W11 Insider.

Did reverting to a previous W11 version work? I updated my computer twice yesterday and I'm unsure of how to uninstall those updates without royally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up my PC.

Under the windows update screen, there is an update history option. Click there and there should be an option to roll back to previous version.

So I uninstalled my most recent updates but the problem still persists. Gonna be attempting to unenroll my PC from windows insider and see if that works.

I had the same problem with the mouse pointer disappearing, and it was also after the new Win 11 update. I restored to the previous build and the mouse pointer returned.
