Unable to play: error Missing XAML file

"No xaml file found in root or any mod!
Widgets/Eula.xaml"

Has anyone seen this error before? I haven't played the game in ages but I've never installed any mod at all. I have no idea why this xaml file is missing. I even tried reinstalling the game but met the same error, after clicking ok with this error the main menu doesn't even show up, I can only see the animated background image.

Any suggestions would be welcome. I haven't played since maybe early this year (trying to get some true final endings).

Thanks. I did some research and turns out I just needed to delete the patch 6 hotfix files from the game files in steam directory, around 7 of them. Immediately worked!

Thought I'd share in case anyone has the same issue and has never used a mod before.

Thank you! Ran into this with a fresh install on the deck, two files existed in the games data directory called patch6_hotfix and once deleted the game loaded without issue.

As a note for me these files were only present in the deck install and not on windows.
