Pretending being good all the time and kill when no one else is around and claim power at the end of the game. All the while manipulating people and enemies all the way.
Gameplay-wise killing goblins is more beneficial both in direct rewards and long-term benefits.
RP-wise it depends on what the motivation for being evil is:
-hungry for power: makes sense to side with goblins with intention of getting closer to the absolute to overtake the control (that have to ignore the meta-knowledge of what is possible/impossible in the future that the character [not the player] does not know)
-want to see death: make tieflings/druids kill each-other and then massacre goblins too
-want to be good boy/girl of Bhaal, here IMO makes sense to mix with the "good" ones (the most likely targets) and do the killings when no one sees.
more RP wise and I kinda wanna have Minthara in my team in act 1 so killing the druids kinda makes sense it that regard.... but I still don't know how long I wanna keep Minthara and get maybe later astarion or another ones...
You still won't get her as a companion in Act 1. She'll be an NPC in the grove raid then you'll see her at the after party before she f***s off to Moonrise to report in where you'll have to rescue her in Act 2.
Okay so the only thing you really missing out is the one scene ?
If you go the knock her out route and save the Grove? Yeah, just missing out on the porn. XD
So besides RP wise there isn't a single reason to kill the grove right ? :D I thought it was like a litte bit more content you get with it.
Not really, no. You also lose out on 2 party members if you raid the Grove, plus one more if you fail some social rolls at the after party.. ( Edit: Oh, also lose out on recruiting Halsin. )
Mh maybe I will play my evil character a little bit different then :D I mean even when a evil playthrough is fun it don't really seems to be worth to be evil at that point
Wyll is a hero. He won't stand for you raiding the grove. Karlach is good-aligned and also a tiefling herself. She won't stand for you raiding the grove. Gale is a good guy who like protecting the innocent. It takes a hard persuasion roll to keep him after raiding the grove.
The tieflings all die. Halsin of course hates you -- you destroyed his grove.
You won't be able to lift the shadow curse, but I mean, you are evil, right? Do you even want to lift Shar's curse?
You don't *need* any of that, and most of it would not fit with a playthrough where you would do something like raid the grove.
Most of what you get is interaction with Minthara, and I don't just mean the sex scene. You get a fair bit of dialogue with her.
It also probably makes it an easier call to hand Isobel over to Ketheric, or to kill the Nightsong, or to hand the Nightsong over to Ketheric, because the collateral damage has already been done.
Basically, if you want to explore the "evil route" then it probably *is* best to raid the Grove. Of course, if you are just meta-gaming for the "most content" then it's probably not.
Ya, but I wonder myself how much of that would a smart evil person do to gain power, half of the stuff happens when you are evil evil just feels more hobo I kill everything evil and not really "smart" evil to gain power
