How to cure bane curse?

I don't know what is going on, but Remove/Cure Curse spell does not work on bane curse. Every time I try to cure a party member, it ends up with message "Target isn't Cursed" even though Bane is permanent curse. Is there a way to get around this problem?

What was the cause of the bane? Was it the machine in the Crèche?

Doesn't work. Keeps saying "Target isn't cursed".

You can just Long Rest to remove that.

Figured as much. Appreciate the advice though. Ended up with Karlach perma stunned in the old lady's lair though with the mask on. had to kill and loot her. Since long rest wasn't an option if she was part of the party and wasn't able to get out of the lair. Then as soon as activated the long lair, the fight between Shadowheart and Laz started and Laz was perma killed off. Deleted save afterwards.
