Alternative Karlach builds

Working on a “fun run” with a Lolthsworn Paladin/Monk build

Taking Shadowheart as a Cleric/Gloomstalker and my current Sleight Of Hand monkey, Lae’zel as Battlemaster fighter until she gets brain munched by the Crèche machine when I’ll then replace her with
Minthy (IC being she’s to brain fried to be able to keep going), and Karlach as….something….
Just not sure what. I’ve had barbarians in every run I’ve done and I’d like something different

Any ideas for something fun to class her as?

I have trouble seeing Karlach as anything but a frontline fighter. Would two monks be redundant? Or maybe even swords bard? Doesn't look like you're getting any arcane casting.

I beat honor with a 4 monk party, it's actually really good to have more then one monk if you play it correctly.

I made her into an Oath of Ancients Paladin before benching her for Minthara.

So I've narrowed Minthy down to a Spore Druid for when she comes on the scene after Lae'zel gets brain mushed (it's a head cannon thing) and I'm thinking of maybe running Karlach as a BladeLock...sort of ICing it that she got her powers when the Infernal Engine was installed....and just pick all the fire spells and stuff that I can.

Karlach is my rogue in my current run. Still mostly Barbarian (berserker), but that extra bonus action from the thief subclass is really awesome with that. What makes Karlach as a rogue extra un is her often reminding you that she is not made for stealth ("I feel like a rothe in a tea shop") or sleight of hands ("Can't I just breakit?")

It does fit in nicely with her rowdy street kid background too!

I still think about what are the "correct" classes and feats for the origin characters, and with Karlach, Berserker fits really well, as does Bear, Eagle, or Elk Heart. (Wild Magic isn't completely out of the question). More and more I go with Eagle Heart, to take advantage of all the boots that give extra movement or damage with a Dash action.
