Goblin Camp or Waukeens Rest
Not sure which to do first: Goblin Camp or Waukeens Rest. I'm in Act 1 with level 4 characters. Any suggestions? Thanks.

My advise is just to follow which ever path you feel like following. Waukeens rest is relatively short and not really fight heavy. The Goblin Camp takes a lot longer depending on your choices and has a few pretty fun fights depending on difficulty. At level 4 You should be ready for both (My preference is always G. Camp and murder some fools just saying)

the best advice that i can give you is: what ever you feel you want to do first and let the game unfold itself, there is no right or wrong way to play the game.

Thanks....good advice! This is my first play through, just got it during the summer sale. I think I'll wander into Waukeen's Rest first.....and I still haven't battled the hag. What a great game.

waukeen's isn't an adventure zone. There are no monsters here.

try to get to level 5 before doing any of the big bosses. 5th level is your extra attacks/double damage cantrips/ etc and a big power upgrade from level 3/4 capability.

Mild spoilers ahead:

the path I recommend is to cut through the village (without doing anything inside), follow the river bed to karlach right away, tag the portal near karlach to come back later. This gets you the option to loot the toll house, and the river bed has a very helpful thief ring, and karlach can be recruited if you want her. Then you can double back, do WR to get a nice magic item and light armor, then set the grinch to astral knowledge cha and talk down the gith patrol for a wad of free xp. You still haven't fought hardly anything at all, and now have some nice goodies for your time spent. If you are on a difficulty where you lose if you fail the patrol roll, don't do that :)

Sounds sarcastic but in the spirit of things.... roll the dice ha. Or flip a coin i guess if there's only 2 choices in mind. As others have said there is no right or wrong.

Keep in mind also you don't need to finish sections in their entirety. Maybe look up a spoiler free guide to missable content if you are concerned.

No bad choices, buuuut, personally I like doing Waukeen's Rest early because it can easily be done at a low level. Do be aware that when you go there you need to do the quest thing right away, because it is one of the few timed ones: if you postpone it, you won't be able to do it later.
