Drizzt Doúrden build?
So wanting to do a beastmaster scimitar dual wielding build for my next run,
Should I run full 12 BM or put in 4 battlemaster fighter or maybe 4 thief?

Drizzt was a ranger, maybe take 1 in wizard as he studied magic as well.

If you want to do it right you need a couple of mods: astralities skintone expansion to get the skin color right (it isn't the retcon off-white BG3 uses) and eldertide armaments so you can use Drizzt's shadowclaw amulet. The amulet will give you extra darkness and faerie fire abilities which he often used and the ability to summon Guenhwyvar, his panther.

Edit: my current run is with Drizzt's sister that taught him (Vierna), a ranger:

Also using the mod Faerun colors which lets you apply the Mielikki dye scheme (Drizzt's patron goddess) to your gear.

I would go mostly fighter, either battle master or eldrich knight, with some levels in ranger. I would also go for a full Dex build, use light or medium armor, can you summon a panther companion? Idk but that would complete the build. I would also have a what to cast haste on yourself at all times, that was like, his main thing.

If you want his famous scimitars, twinkle and icingdeath, look here.

I think there's actually two versions of this mod (often is with popular characters) - never tried either - can't say which one is better.

Drizzt would have started his career as a fighter and switched to ranger when he came to the surface and learned from the blind ranger. If you did 8 levels of fighter and 4 levels of ranger you'd get four feats out of it. This would at least partially compensate you for not getting the extra fighter attack or extra animal companion attack at class level 11. Would it be great? Not really, but it might be fun.

1E/2E he was pure Ranger (16), 3E he was changed to Fighter (10) / Barbarian (1) / Ranger (5), and 4E he was a Skirmisher (21).
As Brian said, he did study (ONLY FOR SIX MONTHS) magic, so maybe waste a feat and take Magic Initiate: Wizard (or splash one level of Wizard class).

Also Brian: I thought Vierna was a Cleric (as per her 2E stats).

Drizzt started as a fighter, gained 1 barbarian lvl living alone in the underdark for ten years (the hunter would be the "rage" skill) then lvled up his ranger skills, and in the last books he was trained by the best monk in the world, so he can train his body as well as only monks can, and uses his enhanced body and Ki control to boost his swordmanship, so add a few monk lvls.
