Can you "coat" your Monk's fists?

If I apply stuff like Oil of Accuracy or other weapon coatings on my Monk's fists, will that apply the bonus?

Sure. I take your point about the Knights Templar, which were soldier-monks, but they fought with armor and swords.

If you are Way of the Open Hand Monk at level 6 you have a passive where you can make your fists do Psychic, Necrotic or Radiant damage (can only choose one of the 3 but you can always select to change between which one is active).

At level 9 (I think is the right level) You can add reverberation effect on top of the Psychic, Necrotic or Radiant.

Like mentioned above there is gear that can add other effects. Caustic Band will do Acid damage with fists, gloves that will do fire damage etc.

I have never tried using oil of accuracy, who knows it may work.. lol

It doesn't, I've tried no added acid dmg with fists, bows, x-bows.

The only thing that works with fists is spore druid for necrotic damage, and the open hand passives.

Anything that specifically keys off weapon attacks will not works with unarmed strikes.

If you have covid, just the act of exhaling is spreading necrotic dmg in an AOE.

Monks are very strong but they did nerf Tavern Brawler I believe so that should take some of that away. I saw some potion junkie guy on honor mode slapping people for 96 on a regular attack, plus elemental damage in a Shar fight; that's just dumb.

Poison Spray. But most of us have Poison Resistance because we drank our Vaxlixirs.
