Eversight Ring Grants Devil's Sight too
I don't know if this is a bug or intended but it definitely does not say this in the description. I suspect it is a bug.

I tested it multiple times and it seems:
1) Any character with Darkvision and the ring can range attack into magical darkness with advantage.
2) Any character without Darkvision and the ring can range attack into magical darkness with disadvantage. (though the blinded condition on the target cancels the disadvantage)
3) Any character with or without Darkvision cannot range attack into magical darkness.

I suspect because of 2 this is a bug as true Devil's Sight includes Superior Darkvision.

Very useful info for that big fight in Act 3.

It specifically says you cannot be blinded. That means any effect that would blind you, including magical darkness, doesn't affect you. No bug, just an inevitable result of what the ring does.

On the flip side Sun Walkers Ring doesn't work at all. At least on my one save with a Human character. Still can't see shiz in regular dark and supposed to be able to see up to 40ft. LOL

That's a stretch. You can look at it that way, I guess.

Magical Darkness does not blind the person looking into it. It obscures. So there is no Blindness to be prevented outside the cloud.

Is the Eversight Ring part of DnD or is it unique to BG3. It would interesting to understand the DnD rule set on magical darkness.

It does! It seems to work on any caster - even works on Paladins. Thanks.

That almost seems like an Easter egg or something.

I recall that at one point it removed the disadvantage on attacks from poor lighting, but not sure if this is still the case.

This and most of the magical items in the game are just in BG3.
