When I tried to play a dutiful githyanki, I was able to hand over the artifact to my fellow spacefarers. I got a cinematic of the artifact pushing them away and returning to me. That was nice too.
The closest "evil alliance" you can get is siding with Gortash in Act 3 but unfortunately there is not much to it, game will kill him quickly enough by itself if you won't do it.
There is plenty of real choices and consequences in this game. But when it comes to the main plot, you are set on one path (fighting the Absolute), with no real alternatives.
i was wondering what i was doing wrong everytime after killing everyone in the inn, and returning to meet the absolute
good to know its not realy an option to have that as bad ending
