Combat with arcane turrets
Keeping spoilers to a minimum, I'm finding these tricky. I assume I need to kill them.

They're 'sturdy', which says it means attacks have to do 10 or more damage.

When I hit them for what should be more than that, it says 0.

So I was wondering if maybe it needs a magic weapon, and I have very little of those, but tried some hits, still 0.

Can't really use spells with its resists, maybe one I'll try. Any non-spoiler I should know?

Edit: yup, two guiding bolt spells were enough to do it, but the cleric takes a good amount of damage doing it. Doesn't seem great. Long rest for each turret?

Check what they do not resist -> win

You can fully ignore them and just run past them. The experience points you get from destroying them with lightning is not worth it.

Ya, I had looked at that but don't see much I have that does enough damage.

That is legit.

You should be able to run cover-to-cover past them with at least 1 character in turn-based mode

At least 10 damage... each MM is 2-5.

Force Damage, cannons are vulnerable to it iirc.

I can invis someone who can run by them, but what good does that do? I guess the whole group could and take damage...

Those turret are powered by magic as the name entails, maybe a certain item you can find could help deal with them easely

Without spoiling anything. Consider these obstacles more as puzzles than combat encounters.

they are magic... you can disable them... there are things close by that are useful

Force Damage.

What does it matter if it's force damage, if it needs to be at least 10, and apparently normal weapons doing over 10 don't count?

Because they are vulnerable to it...? I don't remember that well.
Try lightning damage then, they are vulnerable to it for sure.

You can also use Fog Cloud to make them unable to 'find' you.

You only need 1 character to disable them, but I won't tell you how, you'd have looked that up if you wanted to know.

Point is me and my friend got past it with the entire group, no spells required, so I know with 99.9% certainty you have access to at least one character who can get past

As light on spoilers as possible: There's another way, if you search around the underdark for ways to deal with magical energy.
