No.
Why should you?
'Depending' on the Mod, you are basically cheating.
If you are using mods for clothing or dress, why not. No harm no foul.
If you are using them for combat superiority, no, you should get nothing.
Funny you call me a 'Puritan' yet you are the one that wants to cheat.
"Can't have fun or be entertained" Guess what, the challenge is the fun.
You, apparently, are too weak to engage it without mods.
Oh, and just so you know, I been here since EA started.
Play solo and duo with my selected romance partner.
I don't need mods to win, unlike some it seems.
Tactical analysis and capabilities failing you much?
Well, good Sir or Ma'am,
If you do not want people to criticize your comments, how about you think before you comment on a post?
You are the one whom started this, calling ME names, which I could have reported you for, but didn't. How about you just let it go...
However, it seems you want to debate. Oh, please 'dig in my yard' you will find I do not cheat, been here since EA began, reported a slew of bugs, AND solo and duo this game, from the onset in EA and even now. So go on, lets debate if you want.
i dont have game mods, but i do actualy cheat. and i do get achievements
(i use wemod for important diceroles, so i get always a d20) (not on multiplayer of course)
I have different race mods.
And yeah, there's zero detection for if you are using WEMOD or Cheat Engine or external trainers to cheat ... those won't block achievements (as was just said).
At Nexus, there are mods called "cheats". Period. That's what they are. And they are. You can give yourself 20,000 gold. You can go into god mode and be indestructible. Hell, you can add enough XP to be level 20 off the Nautiloid. And make sure you can't ever fail a skill check. Yeah, that's all there. And some more minor ones, like, giving yourself a feat at every level instead of 4, etc., etc.
Now the "gameplay" mods .... well, no doubt about it, most make the game easier, some ARE focused on making it harder ... there's only a few of those.
MHO: you can't REALLY cheat in a single player game. Only in competitive games and MMOs. This is why MMOs with PvP ban you for using them. MHO2: it's your game, play it the way you like.
Huh. I have never used Achievement Enabler because I don't care about achievements.
That said, just looking at it just now, a) it requires NativeModLoader b) a lot of the documentation isn't in English and c) it has a worrisomely long page of Bug Reports.
I can't use Script Extender, and I didn't even know the Nexus hosted one included an addon file for achievement enabling, but I did know SE could also do this. But yeah, def. looks like you should use that.
Yes, the Script Extender addons are somewhat hidden and certainly not telegraphed in the title, so people have to be deliberative or lucky to make that discovery. Both that and the console are just small DLL mods themselves and anyone could have coded them, but perhaps it makes sense that the fellow who created the injector would also recognize the need for those.
Script Extender and NativeModLoader perform essentially the same function, as DLL code injectors comparable to SKSE for Skyrim and BepInEx for Unity games, but I gather that SE is simply more refined than NML and perhaps has a better API etc. It's been adopted more widely by the people who want to make mods, so I guess that's a value judgement.
Only works on Windows, my friend. Some Mac user said they would pay Norbyte $200 to port it to Mac. He said it was too much work. So, either people keep upping the offers ...
Or Larian unlocks enough of the game so that SE isn't necessary any more. Hope springs eternal. There are so many things I could be doing mod-wise with it if I could use it (and it also solves so many problems/issues). That said, there are plenty of mods that still work just fine without it, too.
