I do have a decently leveled fungal druid, i could test the first question for you
So, Sorcerer is a better necromancer than the necromancer subclass, who would know...
If you can test that, i give you my thanks, let's see if necromancer has any redemption in 5e.
if you want better necromancers, spore druid produces arguably better zombies since they can make 4+unlimited additional newborn zombies, however they are just weaker in health but can't die in 1 hit due to undead fortitude
necro=2 zombies/skeletons/ghouls with better stats+mummy+newborns
spore druid=4+newborns
personally, spore druid has much more to offer and much better survivability as a class compared to necro, the stats boosts to 2 summons isn't worth the payoff honestly
