Does a Critical Hit Double Sneak Attack Damage?
Hey! I’m trying to figure out if getting a critical hit would double the damage done by a rogue’s sneak attack ability or just the weapon’s damage. I can’t find a direct answer. I think it might be related to the DS/DR/DRS business, but I’m a little confused by that. If I get my rogue the adamantine scimitars, will that double the sneak attack bonus each time? Any help appreciated!

It does. As tested on Minsc in a very unfortunate and lethal way. It also seems that an off-hand weapon can deal sneak attack if sneak attack has not been used for that round.

Any additional damage dice, no matter where they come from, are doubled when you crit.

Adamantine weapons only crit against STRUCTURES
Don't waste your ore on them, craft 2x the shield instead, that thing is BIS for the rest of the game.

Official D&D 5e wording:

Critical Hits
When you score a critical hit, you get to roll extra dice for the attack’s damage against the target. Roll all of the attack’s damage dice twice and add them together. Then add any relevant modifiers as normal. To speed up play, you can roll all the damage dice at once.

For example, if you score a critical hit with a dagger, roll 2d4 for the damage, rather than 1d4, and then add your relevant ability modifier. If the attack involves other damage dice, such as from the rogue’s Sneak Attack feature, you roll those dice twice as well.

If you go to reactions you can turn off auto sneak attack so you can choose to only use it on a hit, instead of potentially wasting the sneak attack on a miss.

Double the dice.
