Change my class, any negative consequences?
Im in Act1, 40 hours, just finished underdark playing as a sorcerer. Are there any problems when i change my class to bard for example? Like story or decision wise?

Nah.

No story changes if you switch
Nope no repercussions for it, if you want you can leave 1 point in for sorcerer dialog options to remain available, and casting clases spellslots jeep stacking so you won't lose out on any overall if all cross classing is in caster.

It's often better to respec a party member or a hireling. You can do it to any of them

Not for a custom Tav.

If, say, you change Gale to a barbarian, Wyll to a Selunite cleric, and Shadowheart to a wild magic sorcerer their companion quest lines won't change and will make a lot less sense, though.

Respec as often as you like. Learning what works is a discovery process. Unless you run to the forums or internet.

This is technically true if you changed their class at lvl3 when it is first possible to do so. Gale will always have a storyline about him being a magic user which will seem weird of you make him a thief. But the game doesn't punish or otherwise go bad for it.

No.

Only downside is RP/immersion. Gameplay mechanics unaffected except for the class change itself.

You can always make up a head cannon as to why though lol like "oh gales magic/knowledge was taken by his goddess" so you play him as a martial class, and unless he can get that favor back he remains with 0 magic.
