I find it rather irritating that prone makes the target invulnerable to damage.
I don't get how this bug slipped through the cracks, but enemies that are prone are unable to be hit.

It says you do, but melee attacks don't work on prone enemies, because reasons.

If you misclick you'll swing at air instead of the target.

Attacks on prone enemies work perfectly fine, what are you talking about?

Either you're miss clicking, or you have some mod shenanigans going on.

You got it backwards.

Well, the problem is clearly not with the game.

There is no "missclick". I thought the bg3 community was smart enough to realize that turn-based combat doesn't allow for skill based mistakes, like how an action game would. Perhaps I judged this community too highly.

That is a lie. I have more than enough experience to say with absolute conviction that melee attacks to not ever hit targets that recently went prone.

So, in traditional DnD 5e, the person who is prone and indefensible gets advantage on a roll to hit? When did that become a thing?

i wonder how one could think highly of this community? toxic af.

but it is true that you can attack the air in bg3 with some attacks. why it is that way i dont know pretty stupid design.

How on Earth do you think anyone can possibly "missclick" in a turn-based game? This isn't Dark Souls or God of War, where hand-eye coordination matters.

Your last three posts made it clear you are just trolling here.
There is no discussion left in this thread with that attitude of yours.

What am I talking about? Well, since you need it broken down even more:

Enemy goes prone.
Melee/arrows/spells never hit(s), while enemy is in prone state.

If that is the case for you, than it is a bug and you should report it to Larian directly. Because for everyone else they hit just fine.
