Attacks on prone enemies work perfectly fine, what are you talking about?
Either you're miss clicking, or you have some mod shenanigans going on.
You got it backwards.
Well, the problem is clearly not with the game.
but it is true that you can attack the air in bg3 with some attacks. why it is that way i dont know pretty stupid design.

There is no discussion left in this thread with that attitude of yours.
Enemy goes prone.
Melee/arrows/spells never hit(s), while enemy is in prone state.
If that is the case for you, than it is a bug and you should report it to Larian directly. Because for everyone else they hit just fine.
Either there's something wrong with you or you're a troll. Either way, best to block you now. lol
