14 is often my minimum if I'm not planning on heavy armor.
I would not see it from a plotline point of view. Otherwise you could discuss as well the lack of races/classes. It is more that the characters where created independently at first and then polished afterwards. A lot of changes can be seen not only from the artworks but in particular with Karlach compared to early access.
I also think the odd numbers are a good thing to encourage players using ability score improvement feat. And when Withers / respec was solidfied as integral part of the game it mattered less and less.
There is only so much you can do with a strict point buy/standard array system for ability scores.
Read the final paragraph, then think on editing your answers. Or not. My points aren't metagame or min/max.
Well, yeah, plotwise is too much subjective to say how much dex go for each character, still, curious that 13 was given to all (except Astarion for mechanical reasons).
I think its less to do with plot and more to do with would be bad build wise, a barbarian with 10 or less dex would suck lol so even if Karlach should have 10 cuz big bulky girl, it's still a hame and thay would be less armor class, which isn't great when your base is 10.
dex is good on every character, as it provides to AC unless your in heavy armor, and 13 is the perfect number, a +1 in it at any point gets you to that +2 that most medium uses.
Now i see a stupid remark in slowmotion, a new experience, thank you.
