Oh, that is one clever way.
I always used a Bard to distract the druids, so their sightlines leaves the idol. Then hiding into turn based mode before snatching the idol away with an invisibility potion.
Only works when the druids, naturally are no longer processing the ritual.
Exactly what a bard would do. Good luck!
1. You have to go to the swamp and get evidence against Khaga.
2. Come back to her and persuade to be on your side.
3. Druids no longer perform ritual so You are free to steal it and deliver to Mol.
Side note I feel so stupid for not figuring this out sooner
You can kinda just take it whenever you feel like it with that they don't even seem to be bothered much like meh it's gone
That part of the game actually bothers me a lot. That the druids do not behave differently with the idol gone. I would have expected, wished for more reactivity to that. Could have been in form of something simple like druids searching for it thoughout the grove or standing more guard with their animals. But nope. They do not care. As if those hippies think "meh, ♥♥♥♥ happens, lets move on, we do not need it anymore anyroads"
Put one character beside mol ...
Any other characters at another waypoint
I use the one right outside the gate call it point 1
The put charater beside the idol
Cast darkness ...
Croutch ..
steal the idol .. .
as fast as humanly possible open map and teleport to point 1
switch characters to the one with mol and open dialogue..
choose here is the idol asap .....
the quest will update...
This is not 100% cause if you are not fast enough , or someone sees the idol is gone through the darkness then the cutscene can trigger .....
I had the dialogue open with mol once and it triggered
but you can do it for sure
There is one druid I have found that talks about it. I believe she is the one by the entrance to the inner sanctum, the one sending birds off to try and find Halsin. Once you remove the Idol, she says something like "But now we're all doomed since the Idol is gone"
Still, very very minimal impact. I would also like to have seen this not fizzle out later into the Act.
