BG3 Mod Fixer
Party limit begone -- legacy version.
Disable them. MAN, I wish this topic could get STICKIED. I hate retyping this.
The problem is, while people will accept an issue occurring on the day of- or day after an update, that's about as long as the average player memory lasts when it comes to mods not being forward compatible with updates.
If it doesn't crash the game in first 48 hours then it can't be an issue.
And then you run into an issue because you've finally progressed to where the mod now borks something.
I am lacking words to describe the feelings I have for that.
Thing is, this issue is widespread. It affects ALL quest items. So we have like a dozen threads about quest items not being seen. Reality is, this is affecting almost all of them. Those needed to open doors, turn in for quests, hell start the endgame.
As I say, this is why I wish this would get sticked.
Anyway, I think BG3 Mod "Fixer" needs to die. If you have Script Extender, it really should. There's nothing it "fixes" anymore and it just creates problems.
As for the Legacy version for PLB - well, look, if you CAN you SHOULD use the Script Extender based version 2.0. I can't - I would if I could - but I can't because Norbyte won't port Script Extender to Macs. (Granted, could be a LOT of work.) But anyway, the author keeps the Legacy version around, nice because it's all Mac and maybe some Linux users can use, and will probably update it soon for Hotfix 16 compatibility.
I am also wondering if mods that affect inventory like bags bags bags etc. may also not be playing well with Hotfix 16. Unsure.
THANK YOU!!! I Tried so many "solutions" for hours. 24hr into this playthough and didn't want to scrap it. I just deleted both mods.
"Known issue". Right. Known issue for players it is like feedback fix for devs. When devs say they fixed something because you complained about it, odds are they probably already had it on track before anyone complained about it, and waited until someone did to fix it. Much like contractors will make a building lacking things, and only "waste the money" if someone asks for it. Next time you see someone buying a newly constructed apartment, check it out. Long before games did it, it was an ancient Real Estate trick.
The issue is more like lazy coding. But if you get the spear, misplace the spear (non party inventory, chest, sold, dropped, equipped by another character), SH wont do it, even if you DID FIND IT.
If she is the one holding the spear, it always work. And that seems pretty logic. How she will do her thing (regardless of the choice, she must hold the spear, either to kill the nightsong, or to throw it in the chasm for the NS to turn it into the "Sunspear") if she is not the one holding the s ... spear ?
I have no doubt TikTok trained attention wont always know where the spear is, and wont admit Panda attention span.
