Report a translation problem
Problem is, it may be that a bug has been introduced that causes quest items to not be recognized by the game. Lots of reports along that line.
Other question is, are you using Mods, or have you ever used Mods with BG3?
Sounds good. I would just hold tight there until a fix is released. I would imagine it should not be long.
Could start a new Campaign and play around with some different builds and/or party makeup while waiting. :)
If there was nothing left that you wanted to do in Act 2.

How about you list from where you got the gems so far. To me it sounds you are missing the trials.
Is it possible to remove a gem that I am not thinking about? Or is this an issue a load of a previous save will fix?
Reloading will do. But what threadstarter wrote sounds different.
