Last Light Inn Bugs [SPOILERS]
SO I made it to the Shadow Lands using the elevator from the Underdark and when I crossed a bridge leading deeper into the area I stubled onto a battle between some Harpers and some shadows. After defeating the shadows one of the Harpers told me they had a safe place and to follow them. I followed and on the way there we had to fight some crows. And when we finally for to the inn there was a huge battle happening and I fot jumped by crawling hands on the brdige leading to the inn. The battle lasted almost an hour since every Harper in the inn sucks and I have to wait for 20 of them to miss the enemy before I get a Turn to move;and of course they block entrances too.

When the battle was over I talked to Jaheira but the dialog felt really off, like maybe I missed her in another scene or something. And Dammon was dead so I can't continue with Karlach's personal quest. Is this battle at the inn scripted? Because everything I looked up leads me to believe this shouldn't went down like this. But since this is my first playthrough I'm not sure.

EDIT
Here are the mods I'm Using:

Better Inventory UI, AddonBetterInventory UI, ImpUI (Improved UI), Weightless Gold, Highlight All, Highlight North, Hide Weapons in Cuts and ModFixer.

Edit 2

It was indeed a bug. I've been having performance issues and I'm pretty sure it's from memory leak. I deleted saves and set my auto saves and quick saves to 5 each and my performance has improved quite a bit. I reloaded an older save and when I entered into the Shadow Lands the second time it was pretty clear the first time I did it there was something wrong.

Three cutscenes I didn't see the first time happened: there was no initial "We need to be careful" after opening the door, when I met the Harpers near the first bridge there was no cutscene of them approaching me before the shadows attacked (the fight with the shadows was already happening and the one guy was killed after the fight, not before). And finally, there was no cutscene of the Harper telling me about the inn and marking it on my map.

Any mods? And I mean *any* mods? Even some that obviously "shouldn't cause this"?

Everything normal up to the crows. The battle happening when you entered in the land that is protected from the curse is quite strange. There is effectively one battle that should occur in the Inn but it is later when you first meet Isobel. For Jaheira, she always felt off on the first time you meet her because she detect your tadpole. You need to earn her trust and it takes some times. Because I've done only one playthrough, I let the others discussing choices of the long questionnaire because a couple of things may go wrong here. I lot a questions will pop related to your choices in Act 1 like when you met Raphael, the way you played the druid grove, etc. For me all went well but I felt I was not very welcome to the Last Light Inn. The matters resolved by itself by earning their trust.

I have never seen crawling claws at Last Light, and I was going to blame your mods. Still might be the fault of your mods. But ... according to the Wiki, there is a scenario where Crawling Claws show up at Last Light.

In Act Two, Marcus will summon a horde of crawling claws to cover his escape from the Last Light Inn if the party urges Jaheira to test him with her mind flayer parasite in a jar. This scenario is only possible if Mol died in Act 1 and is thus unable to vouch for the party.

Does any of that sound familiar?

None of this sounds right. In fact Mol is at the Last Light Inn. And I don't know who Marcus is. When I got to the Inn the fight was already going on.

99.99% certain it must be a result of one of your mods. Or some combination of multiple mods.

I think you're probably right but it's so weird because I'm only using UI cleanup mods.

There is a battle on the bridge against hands but it is triggered AFTER the player talks to Jahiera.

This quest is broken unless the OP spoke to Jahiera and left that part out.

Thanks for remembering me that one but this battle don't fit with the narrative of the OP. This mini battle before hunting Karniss don't spill outside of the bridge. No way Dammon would participate this battle and die. The only unfortunate way I see leading to Dammon death is in the battle with Isobel, in the battle with the ox or if you shoot accidentally a barrel located in front of his shop. Of course you can cause trouble in the Inn and he die in the battle, but that's deliberate. There is something fishy here.

Well, it might be some kind of hardware problem or corrupted file or something, but I still feel confident that the problem is in one of your mods. Since it seems to be cutscene-related, and one of your mods changes cutscenes, that's where I would be suspicious of first.

I'm nearly certain it's not a bug in the base game. Otherwise a lot more people would have mentioned it.

There was a bug ages ago where the Oz would beat Dammons ass but this battle isn't even involving the Oz but the Shadowcurse. Enemies he mention definitely sound like the ones from when Last Light falls if it's as intense as he says 'cause the one on the bridge only has a few enemies, not a full scale assault.

ModFixer.

Disable, delete, uninstall, and burn that piece of ♥♥♥♥ with fire.

I have always hated it because for me it never "fixed" anything, it only created problems. Supposedly for some folks it prevented a weird bug created by older mods at character creation. I never experienced that.

But honest fact, for sure, it is no longer needed in Patch 7, and many folks report it creates huge problems with Patch 7. As I said, burn that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with fire.

I suspect it's the cause of your problem. Honestly, at this point, it really ain't fixing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, it just creates problems.

Larian has a code built into the game that outright ignores Mod fixer. Only time it can't is if the ModAuthor fricks up the file destination but in such a case it almost always screws up the main menu screen so it is noticeable when it's breaking the game.

But yes, ModFixer is not needed and hasn't been needed since September.
