There was a time when "botting" was a negative thing akin to cheating...:P
The Nightmare mod claims to upgrade enemy AI. Not terribly interested in that, I have too much fun watching the enemy do silly things.
I'd consider using a mod that improves allied AI. There may be one. But this is a case where I definitely admit if there is one, I haven't looked very hard for it. As I've said, I simply just try and avoid, for example, summoning spells like Danse Macabre where the summons are controlled by AI and are not player controlled. Rather than seeking to upgrade it, I mostly make efforts to avoid it.
Huh?
I think it makes them feel more alive, as opposed to my puppets, but to each their own.
It is effectively the same thing, even though my post wasn't completely serious...hence the emoticon.
Why you guys taking it so serious? Chill out...^^
I'm joking too, if it's not obvious by now.
Edit: And yes, this was a joke, too....just in case someone needs to spelled it out...:P
For the first time in all my oodles of playthroughs, my party pre-emptively killed half of the enemies in what had been a tough fight by doing one little thing ahead of time. A tough fight became no big deal, and it never occurred to me to try it before.
So, I'm going to do some Patch 8 runs before I let the PC take over companions just to see what else I've missed after all this time.
