Last Light Inn fight suuuucks
Playing on honor mode and even though I knew what will happen, I went for it for rp reasons...

The fact that literally everyone rushes Isobel and you have the ghouls who can paralyse her for 2 turns is just ♥♥♥♥♥. Not to mention that if anyone gets unlucky with initiative rolls, the fight ends before you get a turn...But nonetheless all of last light inn died and now I'm gonna have to go big brain because Moonrise and final fight will be harder....but in a way it could be fun, we gotta have some "low" points for our heroes I guess :P

Just a bit of a rant here lol.

Honour Mode is the place to min-max, not roleplay. Unless it just so happens you're roleplaying as someone who always makes the optimal choices they couldn't possibly have foreseen.

I did play the game....ridicolously long, I have like 1k hours. I understand Honor mode is not really the place for rp, but I find it more enjoyable. I do understand it's a bit on me, but I will nonetheless stand behind the thought that Last Light Inn fight is badly designed.

Alert fixes all of these problems. Not bringing people with trash initiative, which is something easily roleplayed, fixes all of these problems. You should be, what, Lv6 or 7. Put a Barbarian up there with Polearm Master. Skinburster from the Creche is a nasty addition to a Barbarian's arsenal.

Or, just Pre-Cast Sanctuary on Isobel before even talking to her. The duration is on pause while the cutscene plays. Problem solved. Her initiative is ass and she won't get her turn until middle of the pack.

You save Isobell with Lesser Restoration(lvl 2 spell) and healing.

Can't save her if she gets paralyzed then Marcus two pieces her after. Has happened to me before.

I feel your pain. I didn't have the heart to continue an honor run after all my characters going dead last with init while hasted. Isabel was down before I even got to act.

I don't go into that encounter without at least two characters having alert feat now.

It's one of the make or break moments of an honor run. Never forget heroism elixirs for Myrkul too is my only other advice for Act 2 - oh and I save the +5 stat buff from Shar statues when you wanna fight the bosses.
I enjoy the two big fights in a row, but I do find it annoying that I have no one to trade with from the time you save the nioghtsong till you get to Baldurs gate.

That fight is no harder than it is on Tactician. Combat wise. Marcus has no Legendary actions/buffs. It's the single save BS that can make it more frustrating if you fail.

The key is to position your party members before the fight starts. Surrounding Isobel as much as possible. You do this by un-grouping your party before you talk to Isobel. Then focus on taking down Marcus first. Keeping a eye on Isobel's health.

I play Oathbreaker Durge, Berserker Karlach, Wyll warlock and gale wizard.

I had a close call in second round healed her, only for her to get paralysed and swarmed by like 4 of the flyers, I managed to kill 2, then a fifth one came and 2nd attacked her...if one of those pricks did not have second attack I would be able to heal her...alas, it did not happen, as much as it sucks that it happened I'm pushing on, never got my LL wiped so might as well.

Oh I fully understand, luckily I visited Dammon before Isobel so I got Karlach's heart fixed, otherwise I would restart too lol.

Myrkul is one I'm absolutely terrified to face. He killed me on my last run. I swear he is harder than any boss lol

Good choice.

You can avoid this fight, there are better ones like the Halsin quest that are safer if you position correctly. although you might lose Halsin if you don't have a great archer and some multi arrows, I suggest.

And all four of them were up there with Isobel or just some of them? Surviving the first round where you cannot act before them is the hardest part, but that was cleared.

I usually only have two characters up with Isobel and two on the main floor with Jaheira. Shadowheart and my Oathbreaker. Spirit Guardian with Blood of Lathandar, Turn Undead if it gets dicey for Isobel.

She ran away after the 1st round to the corner of the room.
4 ghouls surrounded her and she got paralysed.
Wyll, using blood of lathander's sunbeam combined with my paladin, managed to kill two that would have turn before her which would grant me time to heal her.

Yet sadly, there was another ghoul in the ground floor. He attacked a harper in the ground floor and then used fly to reach Isobel, where he attacked her again which knocked her out. Completely forgot about one of them having extra attack.

The Halsin one is an easy one for me. Wall of fire and hunger of hadar = easy win.
