I'm probably literally the only person that actually romanced Minthara as a good Tav

And yes I do mean it 'cos I really can't find anyone else claiming to do so.
The only people that have were people playing as good Durge. For me I didn't play Durge. I actually played as a normal Tav. A morally good Tav all the way through.

For those curious to know, a good guy Tav with Minthara romance actually felt better than Durge believe it or not. Spoilers below:


- The claims about Minthara having less romance scenes isn't really true. She does have romance dialogue at Orin's scene in the circus. She also will react negatively to you if you pay for prostitution in the Lower City. Lastly in the final battle she gives you a final kiss and shows her affection to you once more.

- Minthara does have an arc in Act 3, just like she did in Act 2, and that's with Orin. Most people tend to miss out on huge details behind Orin since the only companion that knows about her is Minthara. Before and after the battle, she has things to say which fleshes things out. And honestly I dont see her content as any less than other romanceable companions. I mean if you can still visit Cazador without Astarion. You can still go to the house of grief without Shadowheart. So how is Minthara's any diff?

- Since you're not a Durge Tav, Minthara won't pressure you into joining the Temple of Bhaal. I read in the prev versions, Minthara would break up with you here so GG.

- She still accepts your choice wholeheartedly even after refusing the Elder Brain

- After this, you can choose how you want to end Tav with Minthara. If you choose to rule over the city with her, the game unfortunately treats it like you've become some scheming dictator. But if you choose another ending like telling her to travel with you out of the city, it's actually a bittersweet ending. There's no evil bad acts. You'd have basically converted Minthara into a somewhat good character and the two of you become lovers/adventurers exploring the world together and helping more people along the way.

Perhaps it's a big assumption that these people ended up romancing Minthara without raiding the grove and just didn't post about it, but I don't think so.

I'm currently romancing Minty as Origin Wyll honor mode

I didnt do the dryad/Orin scene because I read it can bug Minthara permanently and she acts as if there is no romance afterwards. I only p[lay honor mode so if that happened I would have to abandon the run

My plan was to do whatever Minty wanted. If she wants to control the brain at the end then thats what I'll do. Im not playing an "evil run" or Durge but probably my last run so I wanted to do some les traditional things to see the outcome

I actually find her backstory really good and its understandable why she's the way she is when you learn about her upbringing/life. Thought it was really well done

There is No sex scene other than if you choose to betray the grove (at the camp party). If you break her out at Moonrise you can romance her but there is no actual scene.

I did. I romanced her as both good dark urge, and as regular old character. (Haven't played evil, I never do because I genuinely don't like to.)

I'd wager there are many, many others that did too. Most people don't post all their gaming adventures online in any way, they just play and have fun.

Just finished an evil Shadowheart playthrough with Minthara as my love interest. Felt pretty natural and I think it made perfect sense for that particular game.

Probably playing a good or neutral character next though. While it was a fun experience, being actually evil in a game can be quite draining.

But every time since she has been one of my harem lol
I use a mod though that allows romancing all without any of them getting jealous or butt hurt over it...

I romanced Minthara as a good "Tav." It was disappointing for me because there is no sex scene. It is implied but not shown. If you romance her as an evil player character and help her destroy the grove, you get the most explicit sex scene in the game, according to YouTube videos of it that I have seen. I have not done that myself yet. I think Larian is trying to say something with that, but it seems unfair to the good players.

Yeah, that's the thing. All I see are people asking how to romance Minthara as a good person but nothing after that. Also they never specify if they're playing as Durge or not (i assume most likely they are). I've never seen anyone actually post about their romance outcome being with Minthara.

I actually do think it's very rare considering Minthara being recruitable for good Tav was only a recent implementation in Dec and most people dont play a contradicting character of being good while romancing evil and vice versa. Others may abandon plans to romance Minthara mid-way after they hear how her romance scenes arent as fleshed out as other companions.
