And it's almost always the case with anything creative that people do better work when they genuinely want to be working on what they're doing.
Even tho we are not getting expansion, there is still Patch 7 (that is already being tested by modders picked by Larian)
Evil ending cinematics
Bug fixes and optimizations
And other new features that are yet to be revealed (Who knows maybe some mods will be implemented into base game)
And past that there will probably be Patch 8 with Crossplay and Photo Mode.
So ey, it's not that bad.
The first one should have been in the game at release not added like 1 year later post release. It is a 100 + hour game first playthrough for the average person not even giving a proper ending to one of the 2 choices for an ending the definition of rushed. What to even say there was no actual epilogue at the release either.
The 2nd one helps keep their reputation as a game company up for their next game abandoning a game as bug ridden as BG3 still is let alone what it must have been like at release is not a good look.
On the other hand it just means Larian will make another great game instead, right?
