Nexus mod compatibility
Does anybody know if it's possible to use nexus mods which use the unofficial BG3 Mod Manager alongside the in-game mods that use the official mod manager? There are some mods that I miss from before patch 7 that use script extender and from what people are mostly saying, there's a very slim chance any of those mods become available for the official mod manager anytime soon.
So do I have to choose one mod platform over the other or can I use them together?

If you have to ask you better just use one platform. Otherwise mixing is no problem at all.

It's a little tricky, but Nexus and official mods can exist side by side if you're careful. The most important thing to remember is that if a mod exists in both places to always choose the official one. Third party managers have no problem handling official mods, but the reverse isn't true. You can still let your favorite mod manager manage the load order for you, though.

I heard that if the mods over at Nexus isn't updating, you don't get to use said mods. Is that true or is there a mod author who made a work around for that?

What you heard is misinformation at best, desinformation at worst. Nexusmods are just fine.

The mods I tried worked fine alongside the official mods including some that weren't even updated after patch 7. Haven't encountered any issues at least for now. Some people are reporting issues, though that could be due to mod conflicts.

You just have to manually update mods and wait when there are game changes and hope that the mod you are using will get update. So there always is a risk that some mod becomes unplayable and will newer get updates.
It is good to follow what mods get updated regularly to be more sure.
