Enemies lose attitude toward you if you hit quickload??

I kept noticing text appearing over the heads of people when I quickloaded after a bad roll in combat. In the pic above it says "Attitude Gail -45" over nearly every enemy's head.
What's up? Is this just to make sure they'll fight you on reload?

I think it's just to reset variables. It doesn't seem to actually influence anything after loading.

I like to look at it as a cheeky way for the devs to say "really, your gonna reload again?"

When you reload the game ends the fight just before the load starts. When you attack someone but don;t kill them they lose attitude toward you but that doesn't kick in during a fight. So the fight ends and the game applies the attitude change right before the reload wipes it all anyway.
