Sparkle Hands gloves: Found in the swamp
2 Lightning charges per unarmed strike, advantage against anything wearing metal
Gloves of Cinder & Sizzle: Sold by Esther near the cliff as you approach the Githyanki Creche
+1d4 Fire damage added to unarmed attacks. This is just a general damage increase.
The Graceful Cloth: Sold by Esther
+2 Dexterity. Improving your accuracy + damage for free? Hell yes.

I kinda think Bg3 did monks dirty as their unarmed is underwhelming. Monks are typically full Dex builds in tabletop and other 3.5 variants. There are some STR monk sub classes that usually involve 2 handing a quarterstaff like Donatello.
But BG3 doesnt actually have any dang monk weapons in game. Example the kama, nunchaku, sai, shortspear, shuriken, and siangham. Those are your typical Monk weapons. And they are almost always dual wielding agains except for the 2 hand staff builds.
The problem in Bg3 is a monk solo class cannot ever add his Dex to his off hand weapon. Because Monks cant take fighting styles and there arent any feats that do it either. You need Fighter 1 or Ranger 2 in order to select Two weapon fighting style.
however if you want to punch things with you fist then go STR monk with taver nbrawler.....
So at 20 STR you are getting +10 to attack and +10 damage to your hands. Then the Monk open fist can add your wisdom bonus in to dmg plus any monk gear you find.
Bottom Line if you want to punch things with your hand Go STR and Tavern Brawler. You can still go 1 or 2 lvls as a Fighter to get shield and heavy armor.
If you want to go classic dual wield no armor Monk then you still need Fighter 1 or Ranger 2 to get the Two-Weapon Fighting style so you can get Dex dmg on your off hand. Then you can dual wield Shot Swords, Scimitars or Daggers to keep it close to Monk.
Sure you can go solo monk but to me it feels broken cause its not setup to dual wield.
