That said, sounds like a rough fight. Certain fights just feel impossible to do without extra npc help like hirelings or summons
Volo's see invis eyeball is helpful to spot the invis spirits, although they can resist being seen.
Course get to the top and find you need an item from elsewhere to finish the place (so I always just go get the item first).
The only problem I have is the reward. After dealing with all that, and you get a picture that only sells for a few gold. Heck, can not even see yourself in the picture. Glad I looted the whole place for my troubles.
I understood later than maybe you could knock him out, i flew the scene and the game told me he died once i left combat...
The main issue is many people have Volo's eye or use detection of invisibility constantly.
So when you're are going into the house you're starting the whole fight and have to discuss within combat.
It's probly the worst quest design of the entire game.
And you've no idea how to deal with it. I discovered way later the object on the mummy. The guy was long dead but thanks.
