Ritual spell confusion
On the Wiki site I read that Ritual spells can be cast as many times out of combat as you want, without using up Spell Slots.
Like I can keep cast Longstrider with Gale on all my party members as long as I want, it doesn't use up a spell slot or anything else.

Then why is it, that the Find Familiar spell on Wyll while being a Ritual spell, can only be cast once and then he needs to take a Short Rest? Doesn't that defeat the whole Ritual spell idea?
If that spell did not have the Ritual spell notation and instead just claimed to have one charge and then you need to take a short rest to recharge I would not get confused by this.

ritual just means does not consume a spell slot when used out of combat, that's all. whether you can cast the spell once per short rest, once per long rest, or as you please is a completely other element of each particular spell.

A lot of the wiki info was created during early access and never updated post launch.

Read the spell discriptions, some of therm are once per lonh rest. Ritual spells just do not use a spell slot but some have limits still.
They basically did that so you cannot abuse infinite summons, that's all there is to it.

Ritual spells mean they do not cost a spell slot when cast out of combat and/or turn based mode.

But they might still have limits. For example it could be cheesy to find familiar for free after every fight the familiar dies.
