Should I share out ilithid powers to whole party or just keep for main?
I want to go down the path of using ilithd powers for the advantage, half ilithid i guess. Is it best to use them on all party members or are the tadpoles very limited, therefore maybe wise to just use on my main character?

I am sharing them out. I like the first two in the N.E. direction of the matrix. So, everyone gets those before I branch out my character into other ones. :)

May not be the best choice, but I'm not following guides so, yar!

I think you get enough tadpoles to push two characters pretty far down the path; I chose Gale to be the one to go the furthest but my main character has all the powers I wanted, as well.

You wont have need to for all illthid powers. Though the player should get the lions share. You can gain an ability to make illithid powers take a bonus action in the gith base. But only one can get it.

There's enough to give most of your party members a few and still take as many as you're allowed until a certain story event which opens up all the Ilithid powers for use. If you're going full squid it's probably worth waiting until that point before using more than a couple each on party members.

You have enough to full illithid power to main and then some for other characters. Get key ones that is.

I kept all the tadpoles for myself. If you share the Astral tadpole with your companions if you accept it by becoming half/illiad, and open your mind to it instead of eating it. They'll automatically unlock a few the basic illiad abilities.

Most notable benefit of convincing your partymates to become halfillithid is that they gain the ability to fly.

I give them to my main and Lae’zel. Lae’zel is a beast with Illithid powers.
