IE: I didn't want to respec Shadowheart out of her useless cleric domain, due to RP reasons, so I never touched her build, instead I gave her 1 lvl in wizzard.
Meaning that, by level 12 she will have access to all cleric spells in the game, AND she can learn all the scrolls in the game, using her cleric spell slots to cast up to T6 wizzard spells too.
The only issue is having more prepared spellslots as a lvl 1 wizzard, but it's possible if you give her a certain headgear that sets int to 17.
1) As a wizard you can learn scrolls you can cast with wizard levels.
2) if you respec and drop all your wizard levels you no longer have access to those spells
3) if you have 1 level of wizard you have access to all spells you ever learned
So go full wizard, learn a bunch of spells and then go Warlock X/Wizard 1 - and you can use your level 1 wizard slots to cast hex, and your warlocks spells to cast level X spells from either warlock of wizard.
Game doesn't care where the spell slots comes from just that the cost of casting a spell ( consume spell slot ) is met.
also works with the arcane exlirs
You do realize that you can completely "re-spec" ( that is change everything but looks, race and background ) your characters for a mere 100g ?
