Any way to cover Karlach's horns?
May have mentioned a few times that I killed Karlach on my previous run because she is very VERY lopsided.
Well, this time I need to keep her around for cheevos... and I've changed her armour so her bodily lopsidedness is covered up. BUT... while I can cover her hair with a helmet, the horns just poke through... or rather the horn and a half pokes through... and it is triggering my OCD something vicious.

So... besides transforming her into something else entirely, is there any other means of hiding that one horn?
In fact I'm not even sure if transformation will work. I've considered multiclassing her into druid and keeping her permanently wild-shaped... or possibly just putting an illusion on her so she looks less ugly... like maybe a Gith or Half-Orc.

Any ideas?

Possibly the Editor mod may allow you to change her horns but I never tried that mod on her. I only use it on Shadowheart to make her more conventionally attractive.
It might be worth checking the Nexus, yeah... fair enough. Will check.

I thought Shadowfart was already "conventionally attractive" though. I mean the only issue I have with her appearance is that she is too skinny and doesn't have glasses, but that is true of everyone. Well, I guess Karlach isn't skinny, but she has all the other problems I've already been over.

Yeah but i don't think it consumes real world logic though. If you play the game with the options available, you can tell really quickly you can't hide a part of the chracters inside a specific slot. You can hide the helmet not part of the helmet.

Don't try to give an excuse for your weird question.
It isn't some bizarre and alien idea that parts of the character model are hidden by particular items of equipment. The headgear I already tried hides her hair, for example. I don't have access to many helms at the moment, but I've got no reason whatsoever to believe that there wouldn't be one that could omit her horns, as there is precedent for that sort of thing happening in other games. For instance Argonians in Skyrim can hide their horns with a helmet, even if it doesn't make real-world logical sense.

As you can see in the game, every characters with horns has them poked though their helmets.

An interesting theory is that their horns are fused with their skulls and they can't actually remove them.

So ask Karlach if she would so kind to cut her horn off for you or just deal with the fact the base game doesn't allow that.
Handing her head to Anders will save you alot of grief and immersion breaking chavy comments, but I guess you tried that 🤷

Welp.... none of the Nexus mods that change Karlach's appearance fix the horn issue. Not a single one.

Yes, you can't cure it, but you can work on things like this. Especially when it's as problematic as an intolerance of assymetry. You ought to contact a psychologist and start a therapy.
Again, it won't cure it, but it will help copying with it.
The cure is to get rid of the asymmetry, obviously. That is what I'm trying to do.

If you are trolling, then you are truly untastefuly making fun about a serious mental issue that affects many people.
You are talking about ocd triggered by assymetry, yet what causes it are specifically the horns on one of the most liked characters. But you don't have issues with things like shadowheart scar on her cheek.

You also add that it helps wyll he won't get horns, as if horns were the issue.

At this point i really think you are either trolling or you don't know what is your issue and so you should seek therapy, not mods. In real life people have such issues as well, maybe not horns, but there are many other things.
Karlach is the best
Wouldn't the spell seeming do exactly what you want? It changes your appearance to another appearance, but there's no reason you can't make a female Tiefling look like a female Tiefling.

Never bothered with the spell myself though, as there's no purpose to it in this game.

Trying to work on your Ocd might be easier than what you're asking.

Keeping your mouth closed is also easier than spitting toxic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around, you know

You should work on it tho. :)

Since you seem to be a few million brain-cells short of a nervous system, let me explain a few things to you:
#1. This is a game. It works on game logic. The horns are just a mesh. A mesh that can be made invisible in any number of ways.
#2. You might also have noticed that helmets and hats in this game don't have holes in them. Your snarky blathering about horns being fused to their skulls is all well and good, but the left side of helmets are also fused to the right side, without holes inbetween, but that doesn't stop the horns phasing through the solid matter of the headgear, does it? Like I said... Game Logic.

It also locks me out of a certain achievement I want to get. Hence the situation I find myself in.

In case you missed the meaning of the term, trolling is trying to provoke a reaction from someone, generally to bait them into getting in trouble. i.e. Exactly what you're doing to me. I won't engage any further with yourself nor the other troll though.

Does that work? I mean making someone into another of their own race? I wouldn't have figured so... but then I haven't tried.

It's intended like that. You need to deal with it like an adult that's all.

Finding ways to deal with the problem is what this thread is about.
In any case, you're as much set on causing trouble as the other two. I'm getting a lot of mileage out of the block feature today.
Base game : no options for what you're asking.
Solution : a mod who isn't on the market for now i guess.

What are we doing here?
