Closest thing you're going to get to "flavor" is 3+ thief in a multiclass for a second bonus action. Everything else ultimately plays like a martial, or a caster depending lol.
2 bonus actions brings the "silly" in real quick.
It's pretty hard to make a more "interesting" martial than 3/4 thief, 6 open hand monk, 2/3 fighter. Can take it dex, or tavern brawler str(start 1 fighter first with that route)
Alternative is 3 barb(Berserker) over fighter if you want rage over action surge.
If you want an "archmage" type just toss 1 wizard into any pure caster and toss on the intellect headband. Now you know nearly every spell in the game.
Nevermind I'm terrible at playing them because Sorcs cast from Charisma. I just don't like the preparation that Wizards have to do.
And I've never touched Warlocks. Probably never will. I don't go in for Faustian pacts... which is also why I don't tend to play Clerics nor Paladins either. No Gods, No Masters.
Sacred Weapon add CHA modifier to attack rolls for 10 turns (short rest)

But this is very personal thing. Some like wizards, some like rogues… What is your favorite ”fantasy” hero? Try to emulate that!
… pity that there is not drunker master sub class, but way of open hand with drunkard medallion and … yeah… i can do it!
;)
Wizard don't really have any preparation, you just choose you favorite spells once and thats it, plays exactly like a sorcerer. Main difference is mainly about which subclass you pick for wizard vs sorc meta magic. My opinion is that sorcerer is better early on and wizard late game due to some items and level 10 wizard feat overlapping and doing stupid amount of dmg overshadowing meta magic imo.
Did you abuse the stacking extra attack bug from Warlock 5? I am afraid it might get patched out during my campaign, so I am looking at Paladin/Warlock multi-class builds that do not use it.
Sorc 9 for charisma main and i love mages
Temp Cleric 2 for heavy/medium armors, shield before any decent dual wield staff and wrath.
(Mini spoilers?)
Wizard with int crown from early act 1 ogres for 4 prepare spell slots for extra utility for whatever you want.
