Profane Womb
Is the pentagram with profane womb containers in the illithid colony supposed to be used for something? Minthara mentions Baltazaar's experiments when we enter the area so it got my attention. But I found no way to interact with it. Thanks

I had accidentally killed Isobel at Last Light so Thorm wanted me dead and gave my party to Balthazar. Dunno if there's other variant ways to end up there.

I wondered about that one, too. I couldn't find anything on that one anywhere, so it's flavor, cut content, or no one has figured it out yet.

After completing the area, Withers notes the Absolutist needing souls.
The room looks like the place where they harvest souls, preserve the brains from the left body for the Illithid experiments and then use the remains for necromancy purposes.

I'd just say it's an environmental storytelling tool, but would be cool if you could do something there.

Yeah I thought it might be the case, either that or I had missed something. Like for example if you don't have Astarion with you yugir the Orthon demon won't talk he just attacks me.

Yeah I'm doing a necromacer playthough it would be especially cool if I gained some sort of power from it

Probably experiments on combining illithids with necromancy, the talking head is probably one of Balthazar's experiments.

It is probably some cut content. The profane wombs put those in it in a silenced sate preventing from using abilities or spells.

It probably was designed as a "jail" in which you would have to escape after getting Knocked out by the giant tentacle.

You might try lighting all of the candles around the pentagram points, then casting animate dead on the pile of parts in the large bowl that looks very 'presented' or offering-like at the 'entrance' to the pentagram. No idea if they'd have something awarded for carrying out such a ritual, but just looking at what is there, that's how I'd think!

Yeah I ended up there in my evil (2nd) run too now, and I find it pretty challenging killing balthazar there since the wombs already drained some stamina from me and then once you get out, that rotten bastard casts deathcircle and most likely one character dies then ... I need a strategy, but which lel T_T
