Story cutscenes with multiple PCs
I've been playing with a friend (with myself as the host, they joined in part-way through and we've just rolled with it) and we've both noticed, any cutscene that occurs at camp before/during long rests now defaults to their character, effectively excluding me from the major story beats in my own playthrough. Definitely a frustrating issue. If it was a 50/50 split, that'd be fine, but this seems to occur 100% of the time (except for private scenes).

The only "fix" I've found is putting their PC in the wardrobe while they're offline, but even then, THAT breaks their character's AI for any gameplay going forward, by permanently disabling that character's ability to follow the group, so that's not really on the table either.

Anyone else run into this issue and/or know a solution (to make those cutscenes at least a 50/50 split) that doesn't break the game in other ways like the wardrobe currently does?

Cutscenes in camp should occurs however many times (repeat) for however many avatars in your party.

I had a garbage MP bard in my 1st playthrough and I had to see every cutscene twice (in camp cutscenes except love's quarrels)

I double-checked, and that doesn't seem to be the case at all. The only cutscenes I see twice are Guardian ones. Any other important story ones, like Voss or Mizora showing up in camp, or when Lae'zel thinks you're all turning and offers to kill you and herself only occur the one time, and always use my friends character. It seems the only exceptions are, again, the guardian scenes which play for each PC, and romance ones.

Playing thru with my wife at the moment and I can confirm: Dialogue repeats for us both (ie: Gale gives info dump A B and C to her and then will give info dump A B and C to me in the same way).

HOWEVER, actual cut scenes like, for instance, a "return to camp and things happen" cut scene will ALWAYS default to her character. Likewise for most cut scenes outside of camp, unless specifically triggered by me walking into it's proximity or actively talking to someone. EG If it's a story beat triggered at the end of combat (ie; zero player agency involved), then it'll be her character - without a doubt.

I don't mind this so much because I end up doing most of the talking out-and-about to B-list characters, but I see how this might frustrate some players.

Those too, I did only see once on my 1st playthrough but its always been my avatar not the garbage bard.
