I want to know if there is difference between sex and romance. Is every sex offer is a romance start? Or just pleasure night and bye?

Lae'zel just offered me that she want to taste me and i want to try it with her but... she is not my romance option and i want to know if she won't gut me in my sleep once i start a romance with my choice.

companions don't kill you for breaking up with them and yes, her wanting to bang you is her start of the romance
as far as I know, if you try romancing multiple companions at once you'll get a choose one of the scene in act 2 and that's it
outside of companions there are I think two cases when you can have sex with an npc and those will not lead to romance, with companions though, anything intimate will lead to romance

With Lae'zel, it's a first a night stand at most and then it's a romance. With others, the romance starts first and then later sex - Shadowheart for example as she's the slow burn one.

Karlach.. well she hasn't been touched for years so she's kinda needy lmao. But after the first sex, you get into a romance and even a nice date.

Not sure if there’s a trigger / specific moment with Laz but with Astarion the relationship seemed to shift to romance after I told the drow in moonrise towers that he is his own person and can decide for himself. Lost whatever boost the drow would have given but got a romantic cutscene (very sweet one if you care for that stuff) and extra dialog after that

Possibly there’s such an event for Laz?

If I'm not mistaken Laz becomes a lot more chill and a bit less extreme after you visit that Gith Crèche and it turns out the machine that is supposedly used to remove Illithid tadpoles is actually a scam set up by Vlaakith.

Yeah, if you dont want to continue it, end it. But, then again you can end it anytime, just keep in mind that you'll have to end things early if you want to pursue another lady.

Considering the game.. bugs easily with romances in general, better do it early to be safe.

She wont gut you. She does not understand 'love' as a concept. Only Carnal plesure. It's literally just sex with her. At first. Her whole romance arc is that she learns what love truly is. which is kind of Wholesome seeing as it is Alien to her Species.
