Moonrise Towers after breaking shadow curse?

Act 2 Spoilers.

Can you go to Thaniel to break the curse before you head to Moonrise Towers? Or is that something you need to wait to do after? I'm at level 6. I'm just curious. I like to do all the little side quests I can before I head to the "main" event. And I feel like Moonrise is the main event area.

Yes, but you will be told that the land will fully heal after death of Ketheric. When proceeding to BG you will get cinematic how land is healing.
