I don't think the background impacts anything else. But who knows for sure in BG3. :)
"When a character performs an action that's true to their Background, they will be Inspired. Inspiration may be spent to reroll an Ability Check. Note that you may hold four Inspiration points at once. Inspiration earned over the cap will become Experience Points." - wiki
As mentioned above, the backgrounds provide Inspiration points when you guess what the developers had in mind for a specific background. The feature seems lacking - there are no background-specific quests, lines, and the logic behind Inspirations is unclear (e.g., 2 different Urchins may have very different roleplay styles while it would not change the requirements for the Inspiration points).
From what I can tell, "Noble" background has an upper hand in some regard - because across your party there's nobody but Minthara who'll have this, but you're very unlikely to have her as a companion considering you'll have to lose 3 other companions.
So.. your MC being a "Noble" means you'll have extra events and so additional ways to get inspiration points. I think the same applies to some few other backgrounds, I'd need to check.
