Because we WANT them to be, period, all that matters. Good for you if you're happy with the "normal" run of the mill voices that sound nothing like you would imagine an orc or dragonborn to sound like.

I'm down with biology. But as far as video games go, I can see how it wasn't a priority 1 issue to do.

Well, true enough. That is so far in the background that I really don't hear it anymore.
But, the point is well taken. I also feel the character creator is a bit slim, and one DOES see their character a LOT. :/
