Phantasmal Killer Doesn't Work on Ethel

So when you fight her in act 3 for the second time, the spell will never land. My caster has 19 int and I've tried getting it to land for half an hour. Granted, it had a 20% chance to hit but I've had probably close to 100 attempts.

I've used it earlier in the game as well (obviously used it on enemies that had minds, so no constructs or anything like that), and the spell also seems to never hit anything.

This might actually be the worst spell in the game.

I confess to never looking at 90% of the all enemies' resistances, Ethel included, but if you happen to look does she have any resistances that might render that particular spell as being ineffective?

She does have an increased roll in wisdom saves but literally HALF an hour. No amount of increased save chance should make a spell fail every time.

just do non lethal hits so you can save Vanra, then destroy the blue mushrooms to finish her off for good. It's what i did.

Eh I already beat it. I was just annoyed that I couldn't use that spell to keep her in place.
