The mod changes the movement to wsad.
While i personally dont see why you want that...
... If the PAK is in your mod folder then it should be working.
Are you installing completely manually, or using a mod manager?
Edit: I assume the former, if you're following the instructions from the video
Manually. I double clicked the zipped folder and then dragged and dropped the bin folder from the mod onto the bin folder in the local files of BG3
1. Are you sure you're using the most recent version of those mods from the Nexus?
2. Are you sure that the NativeMods folder is in its correct spot in the game's "bin" folder?
3. When you moved "bin" over to your game folder while installing the initial Native Mods Loader, did it ask you if you wanted to replace the "bink2w64.dll" file, and did you make sure to say "yes"?
4. At any point after installing the mods, did you run verify files for the game through the Larian launcher?
Edit: Personally, I use Nexus's "Vortex" mod manager and that is working for me, though it does have some things you need to tweak for it to work through Vortex it also lets you update the mods pretty easily whenever a new version is released (usually after BG3 patch breaks the mods)
Also
5. You only mention moving one zip file to the bin folder, did you make sure to copy over all of the mods you need? Native Mods Loader, WASD, Native Camera Mod, etc? Both WASD and the Native Camera Mod require the Native Mod Loader and its .dll file to function correctly.
6. Just to be safe, make sure WASD are still mapped to camera movement in the game's key mappings; the mod tweaks the "camera movement" function to instead work as character movement, so you want to keep that mapping set as the default.
For myself, I'm more attached to and nostalgic for the 3rd-person camera and controls from Dragon Age: Origins on console over the isometric / top-down view of most CRPGs. I really like BG1/BG2, but I played them way after I played DA:O, so these mods make BG3 feel a bit like a spiritual successor to DA:O for me which is cool.
the tutorial worked for me lol
All I see here is you extract the 7zip file and copy the whole public folder and past it into you game data folder. It is only one file but it must be in the correct folder structure to apply override. like BG3\data\Public\Game\GUI\Widgets\HotBar.xaml
it just overrides the default named file in the Pak core file.
All real strait forward data setting in the file you can edit as desired. For example...
<ls:UIWidget.Template>
<ControlTemplate>
<ControlTemplate.Resources>
<System:Int16 x:Key="MaxDeckColumns">16</System:Int16>
<System:Double x:Key="HotbarSlotSize">88</System:Double>
<System:Double x:Key="HotbarSlotIconSize">88</System:Double>
<System:Double x:Key="HotbarSlotSpacing">0</System:Double>
<System:Double x:Key="HotbarAttackSlotSize">80</System:Double>
<System:Double x:Key="ClassIconSize">160</System:Double>
Yeah I did everything you asked. Any chance you can point me in the direction for a tutorial of the mod/ loader you are using. Really frustrated. The game is unplayable for me without these mods.
Unfortunately I don't have a video tutorial for reference, I just kind of figured it out as I went. If you download Vortex from Nexus, install it, and then download the mods using the "Mod Manager" option in the files section for each mod, you should be able to get them installed and enabled pretty easily. If you're having trouble with those steps though, there should be a few videos online for getting BG3 working with Vortex in general.
The only tricky part I came across was you have to ignore an error messages about invalid install when you enable the mods, manually change all of the mods to use "Engine Injection" instead of "BG3 Replacer" or something similar, and you'll have to make that change any time you download an update for the mod(s) as well. I think you double-click the mod to open those settings once you have it installed and enabled in Vortex.
After all that, just make sure you "deploy" the mods once you've set them all up correctly. Also, I'd highly recommend doing this after reverting the game's files to their original, clean-install state (i.e. before you started installing the Native mods)
Edit: Make sure you're not on an older version of the game, or the Early Access version or something like that too. Mods made for the 1.0v of the game probably won't work on earlier versions / early-access versions.
Of course! Enjoy the game, it's a good one.
I have installed more mods through vortex and all other mods works just fine.
I'm really flustrated right now. Been trying to fix this for hours and these mods just not working. I don't understand why. Also why almost nobody else has this problem. If other mods works why only those two doesn't? I tried to even put the mods inside manually and still nothing..... :((((((((((((((((((((
