Question about a situation i'm having, with multi custom characters and romance/story
So a few weeks back, shortly after launch, i did the workaround to get 2 custom characters in my party by opening multiple instances, and creating two characters. And it worked great. I now have my original Tiefling female Warlock, and, lol... a halfling barbarian, just for laughs (picture, a tiny version of Conan, but with long blond Fabio hair, who runs around in nothing but boxers, and growls at everyone)

Anyway... I tend to switch between the two as the character i'm playing as, and so sometimes she takes the lead, and does the talking, sometimes he does. Because of this, they have both played roles in tons of dialouge and story moments and both have stated getting approval and unique conversations. The unintended side effect of this is that she is now in a love triangle between Shadowheart and Gale, and he seems to be talking his way into hooking up with Karlatch, lol

So how does that work? Can each have their own independent romances? I kind of assumed that only the original main character could have romances in the game. My Barbarian, as far as the game knows, is just a leftover multiplayer character, or so I thought. But he seems to be on the verge of hooking up with Karlatch, is the one who has been branded by the Absolute, and is also the one who now has the three ogres working for him (and the horn to summon them), so can multiplayer characters have a full on playthrough with all the relationships and moments of the main character? And if so, could they theoretically romance the same character?

If played like you did, yeah it could work. That is one of the reasons why the romance is so "easy", otherwise it would not work with the little amount of approval gains due to the splits. But they cannot romance the same character.

Oh yeah, I didn't think about the approval points being split between the two, but so far it's been lucky because most of the interactions and chances for my barbarian to get approval from Karlatch have just sort of worked out to happen when he's playing the lead

Pretty cool though that in theory you could have three or four user created characters that could have relationships with different characters. Though you'd have to either know exactly what moments trigger what, or download some sort of mod that would boost approval numbers each time you get them to even out splitting the interactions between different characters
