Refugees on the Grove
Been trying to get the refugees to leave by helping the Druids finishing the ritual, but it seems to go nowhere. I tried siding with the shadow druids but I get attacked by them.
It seems the only way not to help the refugees is either by killing them by telling Zevlor its time to leave or by telling the grove's locations to the dark elf in the goblin camp and massacring everyone in the grove.
Is there anything else that is escaping me ? i really would like for the refugees to have a bad encounter with the goblins outside the grove, but it seems impossible.

You can't. It's intentional. The game is designed to punish you for siding against refugees, there's no middle ground there. If what you want was possible, then we wouldn't lose 3 companions from siding against refugees.

If you leave them alone and just move on, that's what happens. I heard that if you long rest enough times, that's also what happens.

You don't HAVE to finish every single quest by actually doing anything. Leaving people alone is also a possibility and has its own outcomes.

Wait, what about Halsin, Wyll and Karlah then? What about Minthara? Does it mean it's possible to get them all?

Halsin

(optional) Find the true about Kagha. Look at the letters in her semi-hidden chest in the grove and go to the Sunlit Wetlands to find her letter.

And you have to rescue the Archdruid Halsin in the Goblin camp.

No, for obvious reasons.

Halsin's fate is tied to the grove's, and he's mutually exclusive with Minthara.

You might be able to get Wyll and Karlach, but I'm not sure.

Well okay. So it looks like for this misbehavior the player will be punished with losing only 1 companion - and all the shadow curse quests.

Rested 38 times (all my food) no change in the ritual or refugees, druids must be waiting for the thorns to grow by themselves.

I mean, you can also help the refugees by killing the goblin leaders, and then they leave the grove on their own and the druids are left in peace and don't need to do the ritual anymore. Seems like that's a win-win for everyone except the goblins, so if you wanted Minthara then there is probably no way to not kill the druids and/or refugees.

Actions have consequences.

Why would you even use food to rest if you're just waiting for time to pass?

The thorn blocked grove is keyed to events, i believe one of them being a dead Zevlor.

Also, if you dont care about helping the druids or playing a conqueror, simply find the exit to the shadow cursed lands in the mountains/grymforge.
